The Diversity Game
The Diversity Game is an award-winning board game licensed to Diversity Consulting by QED Consulting, which provides a unique methodology for sensitising and educating employees about diversity and equity issues and how best to manage them. Heather & Errol Price (CEO and Legal Director of Diversity Consulting) and their research team have designed and developed diversity board games for use in the South African, Australian and New Zealand workplaces.
Through rigorous research by the team and consultation with local experts each version of the game has been tailored to encompass local human rights and discrimination legislation, workplace practices and emerging diversity issues.
Teams compete in a relaxed and fun environment to answer multiple choice questions about a vast range of cultural, ethnic, religious, racial, socio-economic, gender & work/life balance issues impacting on the workplace.
During play, participants move around the Diversity Game board and are challenged to explore their attitudes and knowledge base about diversity issues which typically arise in the workplace.
By whom and how is it being used?
The Diversity Game is being used by a broad range of clients in both private and public sectors, as well as by many tertiary educational institutions in a variety of ways, incorporated into:
- Management and supervisory training
- Induction programs
- Diversity and EEO training
- Teambuilding
An organisation can purchase user rights so that Diversity Game sessions are led by in-house facilitators, trained and licensed by Diversity Consulting.
Alternatively, diversity experts from Diversity Consulting will facilitate the sessions for you.
