The Inclusion Skills Measurement Profile (ISM), designed by Diversity Consulting in conjunction with Human Facets of the USA, is a new cutting edge 360 degree assessment tool. The first of its kind internationally, it provides leaders with an opportunity to assess and refine their capacity to work with difference and embed an inclusive workplace culture.
Consisting of an online self-assessment combined with a series of online and confidential reviews completed by colleagues, the ISM measures the 7 core competencies required to behave in an inclusive manner:

The rigorous report provides an individual with insight into where their strengths and weaknesses lie and the gaps between their self-perception of their ability to work with difference and the perceptions of others who work alongside them. Armed with an understanding of their blind spots and hidden strengths, and a framework of what constitutes the competencies to behave in an inclusive manner, leaders have clear direction on the opportunities for personal development if they wish to role model the behaviour of a diversity champion.
Group reports are also provided so that a leader can benchmark their capabilities and Diversity Councils or Diversity network members can identify diversity training or learning needs.
Diversity Coaching
The ISM can be integrated into a diversity and inclusion coaching program. Used at the outset of the program, the results of the ISM will inform the development of a personal diversity action plan that is crafted by the participant with the assistance of their expert diversity mentor.
Over a 6-12 month period the participant will pursue their action plan and build their diversity capabilities with the coaching and assistance of their mentor. Repeating the ISM at the end of the process will thoroughly assess their development and improvement.
